Qualification required
One should have a Ph.D with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years' post-Ph.D. research / industrial/ teaching experience. Candidates not satisfying the experience requirement for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor may be considered for Tenure Track position as Assistant Professor (On Contract) which may be regularized as Assistant Professor (regular) depending upon the performance at the end of the period of contract by IIT Patna.
Specialization
Partial Differential Equations, Differential Geometry, Algebra and Complex Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Functional Analysis, Algebraic Geometry, Stochastic Process, Probability Theory, Theoretical Computer Science, Soft Computing, Combinatorial Optimization. However, outstanding candidates in other areas may also apply.
