Qualification required
Associate Professor
One should have a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six years of teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer
 
Professor
One should have a Ph.D with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record and a minimum of ten years experience, of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor in any of the following: IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai and IISERs or at an equivalent level in any such company or other Indian or foreign institution/institutions of comparable standards as may be so decided by the institute.

Specialization
Computer Architecture, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Programming Languages, and Compilers. However, outstanding candidates in other areas may also apply.
