Essentials
- M Tech/PhD in Metallurgy from a reputed Institute (IIT/ IISc/ Overseas Universities of reputation etc.)
- 15 to 20 years in a leading Automotive/ Forging/ Steel based Industry dealing with Metal working/heat treatment/Induction hardening / machining etc.
- Thorough knowledge of Steel specifications used for automotive / general engineering forgings including hands on experience in Steel specification Design.
- Hands on experience in Steel related/ heat treat process design/process trouble shooting.
- Good knowledge of sophisticated failure analysis techniques/ Material testing like SEM/ Fractography/ TEM/ EDAX/ EPMA / creep /Metallography of Steel components.
- Knowledge of NDT techniques like UST, MPI, Eddy current , RSM, Grinding damage analysis.
- Experience in dealing with international customers (auto and non auto / general engineering / defence/ aerospace etc ).
- Hands on experience in use of Metallurgical process modeling / simulation of processes like heat treatment.
- Exposure to taking part in Product Design reviews.
