Eligibility
At least first class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology/ Master's
degree in Science in the concerned subject/discipline from a recognised university or equivalent with Experience / specialisation as mentioned against each item.

At least 15 years Research or Design or Development or Production experience for Scientist 'H', 10 years for Scientist ‘E’, 7 years for Scientist 'D' and 3 years for Scientist 'C' as mentioned against each item in the last column.

Weightage for higher qualification to be equated as research experience for lateral recruitment is as under –
  • Post Graduate Degree in Engineering – Two Years.
  • Doctorate Degree in Engineering – Four Years.
  • Doctorate Degree in Science. – Three Years.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of Chinese, French, Russian, German or Japanese foreign language.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant area.
Experience and specialization
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) area particularly in the area of turbulent reacting flows. The candidate should have good exposure on advanced numerical techniques, turbulence and combustion models, Large Eddy Simulation (LES) techniques and computer languages. The candidate should be expert in the computational methods in turbulent reacting flows and should posses R&D skill to develop indigenous turbulent reacting flow
code. The candidate should have good leadership quality and have good communicational skills to interact with professional experts in the country and abroad.
