Kerala Public Service Commission is a nodal agency under Government of Kerala to monitor and conduct of recruitment tests and interviews for the selection of candidates for jobs in various departments in Kerala.

The commission intends to fill the vacancies through selection of candidates.

Those who are already in government service should send their applications through proper channel only.

Candidates also required to upload the recent colour photo while submitting their application through online.

Kerala Public Service Commission is not charging any application fee for submitting the application online.

The barcode number in the application form shall be quoted in all further enquiries/correspondence. Documents to prove qualifications, age and community etc have to be produced as and when called for. Applications which are submitted not in accordance with the instructions given in the website will be summarily rejected.

Qualification and experience requirement
:
SSLC or its equivalent

Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting English (KGTE) and Computer Word processing or its equivalent.

Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting Malayalam (KGTE) or its equivalent.

Lower Grade Certificate in Short hand English (KGTE) or its equivalent.

Lower Grade Certificate in short hand Malayalam (KGTE) or its equivalent.

Note:
Attested copies of certificates obtained from Government will alone be accepted as proof of the above mentioned technical qualification. Certificates obtained from Typewriting Institute will not be accepted. IMC certificates are not acceptable.

Those who have passed in KGTE Typewriting before January 2002 should produce separate Certificate in ‘Computer Word processing or its equivalent’. [GO(P) 17/2005 dated 9.5.2005]. Certificates obtained from Central and State Governments or Agencies or societies or Universities after a course having minimum period of 3 months shall alone be considered as equivalent qualification for Computer Word Processing.

Written Test will be conducted for the candidates who  submit valid applications. A passage in English consisting of 400 (four hundred) words will be dictated within 5 minutes. [at a rate of 80 (eighty) words per minute) and candidates will be asked to take down the same in shorthand and then to write in long hand (using ink) within the time limit of an hour. Place, date and time of test will be published later.
