16595 Assistant Loco Pilot jobs to be filled in Railways through Railway Recruitment Board

The Railway Recruitment Board which is a nodal body for recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot [ALP] vacancies, in total around 16,595 vacancies falling under various divisions across India.

Interested candidates who fulfill the prerequisites can submit their job applications either through online application mode or offline application mode, in both terms the last date to submit the application is 12.09.2011, whereas for far flung areas it will be 27.09.2011.

The age limit is minimum 18 years whereas it is 30 years maximum as on 01.01.2012.

The pay scale for selected candidates will be Rs.5200-20200 with a Grade pay of Rs.1,900, reservations and relaxations are applicable as per Government of India order, for details kindly refer official notification.

Required Educational Qualifications for aspiring Assistant Loco Pilots

Matriculation or equivalent under 10+2 system & Course completed Act, Apprentice OR I.T.I. in any of the specific trades recognized by SCVT/NCVT (Fitter, Electrician, Instrumentation Mechanic, Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mill Wright /Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & T.V., Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic Diesel, Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & A.C. Mechanic) OR Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics/Automobile Engineering from recognized by AICTE in lieu of I.T.I.

Those who have higher Educational qualifications in the related trades/disciplines recognized by AICTE, also can apply for the post. There will be written examination, Aptitude Test, Documents & Candidature Verification etc. as selection procedures. Application fee is Rs. 40 should be paid as per the direction in the advertisement.

Candidate can apply online on or before 12/09/2011 at concerned RRB Website. Just click on the Online Application Link and fill the Bio-data in the prescribed format. After applying online take print outs of the “System Generated Application Form” and paste recent colour photographs on the form and complete the application form with all details and documents, and send it to the concerned Railway Recruitment Board to the Address mentioned in the Advertisement on or before the last date of application.

For offline Applications, apply in the prescribed format along with fee and all supporting documents and complete in all respects should reach to the Concerned Railway Recruitment Board on or before 12/09/2011 (27/09/2011 for Far Flung Area/Remote Area candidates).
