Educational attainment required

• An eminent scholar actively engaged in teaching/ research/ extension with published work* of high quality and having Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics/ Economics with specialization in Agricultural Economics with good academic record.
• Ten years experience in teaching/ research/extension education in the relevant area out of which, at least two years should be as Associate Professor or equivalent  in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000 + AGP Rs.9000/- and remaining as Assistant Professor or equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research experience).
• Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

Desirable:

Administrative experience

• Published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/ policy  papers

• Consolidated Academic Performance Indicators (APIs) score requirement is of 400 points from Category III of APIs under new Career Advancement Scheme.
