Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India is an autonomous institute which is working under the control of Department of Biotechnology which is under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
To strengthen the research and other related work the institute intends to recruit the following job, only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the dates of interview.

Qualification, experience and skill set requirement
· A Masters Degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology with at least five years documented work experience in national research institutes, state government institutes, international or multi-national or national pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
· Through working knowledge of a standard statistical software library (e.g., STATA, SAS or SPSS) and design of relational databases.
· Research methods and theory in health-research related discipline.
· Promising record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
· Ability to work in a computerized work environment, including word processing and data processing.
· Data analysis and interpretation skills.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
· A higher degree such as M.Phil. or Ph.D. in a discipline related to Biostatistics or Epidemiology.
· Previous Experience as an investigator or co-investigator of research projects.
· Thorough knowledge of quantitative methods (from mathematics and statistics) for dealing with methodological and analytic problems in the investigator's substantive area of expertise.
· Working knowledge of health care organization, policy, practice, and management (to facilitate application of research to medical and health care phenomena).
· Experience presenting research findings at national meetings.
· Teaching experience in biostatistics and/or epidemiology
· Ability to write and communicate effectively to scientific/technical audiences.
